The Roof Wizards.Roughly 70% to 75% less than a roof replacement.

Three hundred days of sun a year is wonderful for the Grand Valley and hard on asphalt shingles. If yours are aging but sound, rejuvenation can keep them working for years longer at a fraction of what replacement costs.

For qualifying asphalt shingle roofs. Actual savings depend on roof size, condition, repair needs, and written treatment and replacement estimates.

A smarter place to start

Your roof may be aging. That does not mean it is finished.

Find Out If Your Roof Qualifies

Grand Junction sits at 4,586 feet in high desert. The July UV index here reaches 11, the top of the scale. We get sixty-plus days above ninety degrees, very little rain, and daily temperature swings that make shingles expand and contract every day of the year. Then winter brings freeze and thaw.

What that climate does is pull the oils out of asphalt shingles. Those oils are what keep a shingle flexible. Without them the shingle stiffens, curls at the edges, cracks, and starts shedding the granules that protect it.

That is aging, not failure. And aging can often be treated. If your shingles qualify, a ShingleLock treatment restores the flexible oil phase and buys your roof years of additional service life for a fraction of replacement cost.

If rejuvenation is not right for your roof, we will tell you why and point you toward good local roofers.

01

Inspect first

We look at shingle condition, wear patterns, flashing, and penetrations before recommending anything.

02

Treat what is sound

A preservation treatment matched to the condition of qualifying asphalt shingles.

03

Decide with the facts

You see the written scope, the price, and the warranty terms before anything happens.

Why Grand Valley homeowners look at rejuvenation

Rejuvenation against replacement. A fraction of the cost.

An inspection always comes first. For sound asphalt shingles showing age-related wear, rejuvenation can restore flexibility and push replacement further out. It is not a substitute for replacing a roof that has already failed.

Full roof replacement

$12,000

  • Tear-off and disposal of the existing roof
  • New roofing installed by a roofing contractor
  • Mesa County permit, roughly $150 to $500, about two weeks
  • Usually the right call for a roof that has failed
Recommended when your roof qualifies

Roof rejuvenation

$3,000 to $3,750

  • Keeps sound shingles in service
  • Treatment of qualifying asphalt shingles
  • Typically completed in a single visit
  • Only recommended when your roof qualifies

Potential difference in this example: $8,250 to $9,000.

The Roof Wizards provides roof rejuvenation only. We do not install or replace roofing. If your roof needs replacement we are glad to point you toward local roofers who do good work.

Illustrative budget comparison only. Not a quote, not a verified Grand Junction average, and not a guaranteed saving. It assumes a $12,000 replacement estimate. Colorado roof replacements average around $9,534 and range from roughly $7,332 to $23,862 depending on size, pitch, complexity, and material. Actual prices and savings depend on your roof and on written treatment and replacement estimates. A free inspection determines whether your roof qualifies. Not every roof does.

Know the signs

Small signs tell a bigger story.

You do not need to get on the roof. That is what we are for.

Close view of asphalt shingles with bare patches where granules have worn away

Granules washing away

Bare patches on the shingle and granules collecting in gutters mean the protective surface is wearing down.

Cracked rubber pipe boot around a roof vent

Small parts, big leaks

Cracked pipe boots and worn flashing let water in even when the rest of the roof is sound. Dry desert air is hard on rubber boots.

Asphalt shingle with a curled, lifted edge

Shingles losing flex

Curling edges and brittle corners are what oil loss looks like. An inspection separates normal aging from real damage.

Let's Look at Your Roof

Meet the owner

Local. Straight with you. Serious about the craft.

I'm Taylor Helms. I started The Roof Wizards because I kept running into the same thing around the Grand Valley. Homeowners being told they needed a new roof when what they actually had was a roof that had dried out.

The name is about knowing something most people do not. There is real chemistry behind what we do and an accredited lab behind the numbers. I am happy to walk you through all of it at your house.

My goal is not to sell you something. It is to tell you what your roof actually needs, so you can make a good call for your home and your budget.

Grand Junction is home. The Grand Valley is the neighbourhood.

From the Redlands to Clifton, out to Fruita and Palisade, up the valley and down to Delta. If you are in Mesa County or close to it, we would be glad to take a look at your roof.

The right treatment starts with the right questions.

Ask any rejuvenation company what product they put on your shingles, what independent testing backs it, whether it is compatible with your shingle type, and what the written warranty actually covers. Lab findings are not a guarantee of results on your roof, and anyone who will not answer those questions is not worth hiring.
