Grand Junction, Colorado / Know your options

Sometimes the answer is a new roof. We will tell you when, Grand Junction.

The Roof Wizards does rejuvenation. We do not install or replace roofing, which means we have no reason to talk you into a new roof and no reason to talk you out of one. Here is how to tell which one your house actually needs.

Rejuvenation is likely the right call when:

  • Shingles are roughly 8 to 18 years old and showing age-related wear
  • Granule loss is moderate, not severe
  • The deck and structure underneath are sound
  • There is no active leak
  • Shingles are stiff or lightly curled, not torn, missing, or cracked through

Replacement is likely the right call when:

  • The roof has failed or is actively leaking
  • There is storm damage, missing shingles, or torn shingles across the field
  • The deck is soft, sagging, or water damaged
  • Shingles are at or past the end of their service life
  • A prior layover or installation issue needs to be corrected

What we do when your roof needs replacing

We tell you. Then we point you toward Grand Valley roofers we would hire ourselves. There is no referral arrangement and nothing in it for us. If your roof needs replacing, the right thing is for you to know that quickly and get on with it.

Mesa County permits, briefly

Full roof replacements in Grand Junction require a permit through Mesa County, which adopted the 2024 IRC in September 2025. Permit fees typically run $150 to $500 and approval takes around two weeks. Rejuvenation is a maintenance treatment and does not involve tear-off. Confirm permit requirements for your specific project with Mesa County.
