Question 1

What exactly is roof rejuvenation?

Accepted Answer

A preservation treatment for aging asphalt shingles. It restores the natural oils that keep shingles flexible, which slows deterioration and extends useful service life. It is not a substitute for replacing a roof with structural damage.

Question 2

Does every roof qualify?

Accepted Answer

No. Roofs that have failed, are actively leaking, have storm damage, or are at the end of their service life are not candidates. The free inspection exists to find that out. If your roof does not qualify we will tell you and explain why.

Question 3

What is ShingleLock?

Accepted Answer

A plant-based treatment built on epoxidized soybean oil. Its molecules are 2 to 5 nanometres, small enough to travel into the asphalt where the aging is actually happening, and its epoxide groups bond with oxidized sites in the shingle. It was tested by CERTERRA, an accredited independent lab, across 12 categories.

Question 4

How long does treatment take?

Accepted Answer

Most Grand Valley homes are done in a single visit. No tear-off, no dumpster, no heavy equipment on your property.

Question 5

Will it fix an active leak?

Accepted Answer

No. A leak means something has failed and needs repair or replacement. Rejuvenation is for roofs that are still sound. If we find a leak during inspection we will show you where it is coming from.

Question 6

Can it be applied in Grand Junction's climate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is one of the climates where it matters most. Three hundred days of sun, a July UV index of 11 at 4,586 feet, and very dry air pull oils out of asphalt shingles faster here than in most of the country. Treatment is applied in appropriate weather windows.

Question 7

How does it affect my homeowners insurance?

Accepted Answer

Talk to your insurer directly. We provide written documentation of the inspection and the treatment, which some homeowners find useful as evidence of roof maintenance. We cannot speak for any insurance carrier.

Question 8

How does the cost compare to replacement?

Accepted Answer

Colorado roof replacements average around $9,534 and range from roughly $7,332 to $23,862. Rejuvenation on a qualifying roof typically runs $3,000 to $3,750. Your number comes from the inspection and the written estimate, not from a website.

Question 9

Is it safe for my landscaping, pets, and property?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ShingleLock is plant based with 0.02% VOC emissions in lab testing. We take standard precautions around plantings and hardscape.

Question 10

What do I get when the work is finished?

Accepted Answer

A written completion report, before and after photos of your roof, and the warranty documentation. Warranty length and terms are set out in your written service agreement.
